The Suicidal Plans of The Lincoln Project

Sometime, somewhere, something plays which describes Maine’s heroes. It then sneers at the ‘men in the Senate’. It then calls out Joseph McCarthy, who despite his shady behaviour and horrible campaigns, had a dire message about communist subversion that has since been vindicated with time. It condemns Trump’s ‘cruelty’. It then targets Maine Senator Susan Collins, calling her a ‘Trump stooge’, and wanting her gone for… being loyal to her party and the President, which is presumably why Maine voters sent her there in the first place. Surely this is either a Democratic attack advert, or basic CNN coverage, right?

No, rather instead it’s the ‘ingenious’ work of The Lincoln Project, a group of disillusioned Republicans attempting to get Trump out of office in the 2020 Presidential election. While this may seem shocking at first glance, given how popular Trump is within the Republican Party, the names of who run this project make all worries clear. They include former George W. Bush and John McCain strategist Steve Schmidt, former political consultant for McCain and John Kasich John Weaver, Never Trump campaigner and aide to third party candidate Evan McMullin Rick Wilson, Never Trump campaigner Jennifer Horn, among some others. So in other words, instead of being a legitimate grassroots movement against Trump, they are a group of disillusioned lame ‘centrist’ Republicans…
